What My Clients Have To Say

The Goodwood Islamic Society in Cape Town presented an Effective Parenting Workshop over the weekend of 30th October 2009 to 1st November 2009. We tried to keep the marketing of this event as low key as possible and we concentrated on advertising in the community as we only had space for 40 to 50 participants. Algamdoeliellah there was such a demand for this workshop which inevitably resulted in a waiting list being compiled. We will therefore definitely have to consider running another one in the near future Insha-Allah. The workshop was facilitated byHadja Fiona Saloojee, a UNISA graduate with a BA Honours in Psychology – Specializing in Trauma Counseling, HED – Higher Education Diploma, Educational Kinesiologist, Journey Practitioner, Volunteer at Trauma Centre for Survivors & Torture, Volunteer Facilitator and Volunteer Counselor, andSheigh Ebrahiem Tofa, BSC – University of the Western Cape, BA - Islamic Studies – American University in Cairo Egypt, BA Honours – Islamic Studies – UNISA, Ghafiethul Quraan, Resident Imam – Quloobul Moe’mieneen Masjied, Principal – Goodwood Madrassa & Madrassatul Akhlaaq and Secretary of the Ulema of the Northern Suburbs, a sub body of the Muslim Judicial Council. They were ably supported by 7 assistant facilitators. The workshop was split into 3 sessions which took place on Friday evening from 19H30 to 23H30, Saturday afternoon from 14H30 to 19H00 and Sunday morning from 09H00 to 12H30.

My Experience with Synchronicity Talk Shop...I was referred to Mrs. Fiona Saloojee by my most trusted friend Sheikh Ebrahim Tofa. I found Fiona to be  spiritually uplifting, really inspiring and a guidance to me. May God Almighty bless you and your family abundantly for your support and for being there so unselfishly for others.

Over the past few years of my life, I went through some difficulties. I acknowledged and accepted it. However, because I am young I thought I could help myself. As time passed family and friends realized I was not the same person as I used to be. I searched for various therapists and Fiona stood out as many people recommended her. Almost a year has passed and I can see a change in myself and so can everyone else around me. I do not see Fiona as a therapist, but as a friend. She is someone who actually takes and shows interest in one's life. I am not just a client and sometimes I see her just to "off-load" or to get perspective. Fiona goes the extra mile to assist wherever she can and does not limit herself to what is just expected of her.

My son Yusr has a Midline crossing hiccup that Fiona Saloojee attended to with her Brain gym and her child play methods. Yusr attended Fiona for almost 10 weeks of 1 session per week. In that 10 weeks I could see a remarkable difference and so could his teacher. She also gave me an understanding what Yusr was all about. She gave him exercises and an interesting way to learn the alphabet as Yusr was not interestd in seeing the alphabets until then. In six weeks the improvement started showing prominently making my son interested in school work thus showing there was something inhibiting him from learning. What I loved about Fiona's work is that she made my son and I bond even stronger and understanding each other with the bonus of improving his academic side. Each professional always solves one thing at a time but because of all Fiona's background education she lends herself to help in many ways. She counsels, teaches, rewires and changes.Thank you Fiona for assisting my son and I.
